Apples and More
Welcome to the Orchard!
Our orchard is home to twenty varieties of apples along with a selection of cherries, nectarines, peaches, plums, and berries, each producing bigger crops with each season. With the help of family and friends, we began planting in April 2021 and have added to the orchard in subsequent seasons. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the orchard starting in late summer 2024.

A Little Help from Our Friends
The orchard is truly a team effort, planted with the help of family and friends! Our first bareroot trees arrived in April 2021. Looking back, it's hard to believe how much they've grown since!
Growing Up Together
Both the children and the trees have grown considerably over the past few years! John grew up on his grandparents' St. George area farm and he wanted his children to have the same learning experiences, which is one of the reasons we wanted to find our own farm!
Our First Crop
We picked our first apples at the end of the summer 2022. A few dozen Paula Reds that Christi baked into homemade apple crisp gave us a taste of what's to come. Crops will be larger each subsequent year as the trees mature.
New Trees Arrive
Spring 2023 brought the opportunity to plant ten new varieties of apples in the orchard and the wet season means these young trees are thriving. With three rows of cider apples, we're excited to be able to offer these direct to clients in a few years' time.
Fair Winning Selections
John's orchard management efforts were rewarded with a first place finish in the 5 Paula Reds category at the 2023 Paris Fair, placing ahead of generational growers from across the County of Brant. As new apple growers, we are especially proud of this recognition.
More Fruits Added
Starting with the raspberry patch, we planted an increased variety of fruits in spring and summer 2024. We also planted cherries, peaches, plums, and nectarines, with plans for blueberries and grapes to follow!

With over 5 acres currently in production, we can't wait to welcome you to the orchard to pick your own apples starting in fall 2025! As Brant's newest agritourism destination, we invite you to join us for a fun family activity that is beloved by generations.
