Please contact us if your question is not answered below.
Our hours change throughout the seasons. Please visit the Contact Us page for current hours. Requests for retail purchases outside of scheduled hours are treated as consultations and a fee normally applies.
We are located at 400 Johnson Road, Brantford. The farm is on the east side of Brantford, minutes off Highway 403 at the Garden Avenue exit. Proudly Brant County!
There is no fee to visit the retail nursery. Reservations, guided tours and photography all subject to fees. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Yes, please consult our professional services page for more information about consultation, design, and installation services.
We invite visitors to the farm and, in turn, ask them to respect that it is also our home. Areas of the farm are not open to visitors as these are private or operational in nature. We do not tolerate behaviour that is unsafe, causes damage to the property, goes against posted signage, interferes with others’ enjoyment of their visit, bothers our pets, or insufficient supervision of children. We do not allow pets in the gardens. Disrespectful and unsafe behaviour will result in us asking visitors to immediately leave the property. Admission fees (if applicable) will not be returned.
Our gardens are planted for everyone's enjoyment, so the flowers and foliage cannot be picked by visitors. Please remember that if everyone picked flowers as souvenirs of their time at the farm, they would quickly be gone for future visitors. Many of the plants are also available for purchase in the retail nursery if you would like to buy one to enjoy in your own gardens.
We accept cash and debit at this time. Sorry, we do not accept credit cards. Taxes are assessed in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements. Please let us know in advance of your purchase if you are eligible for a tax exemption.
We have a portable toilet available for visitors. Please note that it is not wheelchair accessible and does not have a change table.
We are an operational farm with gravel laneways and uneven ground. Please contact us to discuss accommodation requirements. Leashed service animals are welcome at scheduled appointments only.
We know that some kids love plants, but most kids are easily bored at a garden centre. Our wagons are for plants, not people - they can be tippy and pinch fingers. You will be expected to pay for any damage to the nursery stock or our gardens that is a result of improperly supervised children.
If we observe behaviour that is disrespectful or unsafe, we will offer a gentle reminder about supervision requirements, but will politely ask you to leave if you do not respect our ask to keep a closer eye on your children. Thank you for understanding.
Sorry, we do not allow pets to visit the farm for safety and operational matters. Please schedule an appointment if you require the assistance of a service animal during your visit.
No, we do not allow smoking or vaping anywhere on the farm. Provincial laws prevent smoking and vaping in our workplace, the farm is our home, and children are regularly present. A butt disposal container is located in the parking lot as a safety precaution because discarded butts can easily ignite grass and mulch causing fires. You will be asked to leave if you are unable to respect our no smoking and vaping policy.
Visitors are welcome to take pictures with their smartphones during retail hours and special events, respecting our privacy and that of other visitors, and for personal use only.
Professional or commercial photography and/or use of professional cameras, lenses, or drones requires permission under our reservations and private events. Video recording that is not consistent with personal enjoyment of one’s visit, such as creating lengthy videos without one’s family or friends included, require written permission because we deem these to be commercial in nature. Use of props, wardrobe changes, or any other photography or videography activity that we identify as exceeding reasonable personal use is not permitted.
We do not share photographs of guests without their permission, but visitors should be mindful that we cannot control how others use the images captured during their time spent at the farm. We reserve the right to ask visitors to cease and delete photographs and/or videos that in our sole opinion violate our privacy or the privacy of others or for which proper permission has not been granted in advance.
We are pleased to host guided tours of the gardens and orchard for a fee. Tours may be of interest to youth organizations, home schoolers, churches, seniors residences, and anyone else interested in learning more about the nursery, gardens, and orchard. Tours may be followed by a group picnic and/or shopping in the nursery. Please contact us to discuss arrangements.
We are pleased to offer the farm property as a venue for private events such as engagement, wedding, or family photography, picnics, and other social gatherings for a fee, separate from farm tours. Please contact us to discuss your needs. Note that we do not allow alcohol to be served at private events for liability reasons.
Our plants are final sale because we cannot control how they are transported and cared for once purchased. Other retailers build the costs of replacement plants into the price of everyone's purchases, whether they need to exercise the warranty or not, so this raises prices overall. We have chosen to help keep our prices lower by not offering warranty.
Sorry, not at this time.
