One generation removed from her family’s Northumberland County agricultural roots and the daughter of a keen gardener, Christi manages the farm’s retail nursery operation and special events. Her professional experience includes nearly a decade as a broader public sector governance, policy, and privacy specialist, before joining John in his business and gaining experience in the landscape trade. Christi also serves as Ward 5 Councillor for the County of Brant, a director of the Brant Woodlot Owners Association, and member of the Landscape Ontario Growers Group. A rural historian by training and experienced genealogist, Christi holds an honours BA from the University of Guelph and an MA from Simon Fraser University. She is actively researching and writing the farm’s history in anticipation of publishing a short book.
John found his passion for landscape growing up and working on his grandparents’ sod farm. Upon graduating from Mohawk College, he assumed a full-time role as a landscape construction project manager/estimator for more than 20 years and his portfolio includes residential, municipal, and commercial works across southwestern Ontario under the J.B. Landscape Construction and J B Construction Management Corporation brands. After many years in infrastructure construction, John returned to his landscape roots and co-founded Creek View Acres with the goal of bringing professionally grown nursery stock trees, shrubs, and perennials direct to homeowners through the farm. As the third generation in his trade, John brings an unmatched level of horticultural experience to the farm. He is dad to the three not-so-little-anymore farmers who are growing up entirely too quickly!
