Heads up! Johnson Road is closed at Highway 403 for bridge construction. If you're planning to visit us this fall, you'll need to access the farm from the Lynden Road extension. Please see below for the map outlining the D-1 detour.
Thank you for obeying posted signage and driving slow to ensure the safety of the construction workers and everyone on the road.
Garden a la Carte grew out of Creek View Acres Nursery & Orchard's retail nursery and the desire to continue meeting the demand for direct-to-gardener fruit trees, shrubs, and vines. Having drawn customers from hours away in previous seasons, we refocused to prioritize offering the best selection of plants that feed people in southwestern Ontario. After all, plants feed people and there's nothing more local than growing your own fruits and vegetables.
With roots in the landscape trade, we pride ourselves on growing and selling some of the most unique trees, shrubs, and perennials available in southwestern Ontario! Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, we have refocused our nursery activities to specialize in the bright colours, bold choices, and new varieties that set us apart in prior seasons. What we don't grow ourselves, we source from local family-owned nurseries. The nursery is open for the season! Come see us during our retail hours to browse what's in store.
The nursery got its start because we wanted to grow the perennials and shrubs we loved but couldn't source through other suppliers. We focus on container stock, specifically hostas, echinacea, and fruit plants. Open seasonally to the public.
The orchard is home to twenty varieties of apple trees and a selection of cherry, nectarine, peach, plum, and pear trees, along with a raspberry patch. Fresh fruit is available seasonally.
The gardens showcase some of our favourite specimens including rare and unique redbud trees, Japanese Maples, and ornamental conifers in all shapes and sizes. We occasionally offer garden tours and host community groups.
As a working farm, what's happening changes with the seasons and the weather. There can be safety considerations arising from operational activities such as moving equipment, our ground is uneven, and there is a pond on site. When you choose to visit us, you accept any and all risks that arising from attending the property and waive all claims against the farm, it's owners, and related corporations.
We ask all visitors to please be mindful that the farm is both our home and our livelihood. Children must be adequately supervised and we do not allow pets. Disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.
We meet our AODA obligations to accommodate service animals through pre-scheduled appointments. Please contact us before visiting the farm with your service animal for everyone's safety and well being. Unfortunately our washroom facilities are not fully accessible (yet).
